The Grietfest is said to be the biggest alternative dance music party happening yearly in Johannesburg. The lineup was quite nice, we actually just went there to see Felix Laband, as this cat is not being seen very often. I got into his music quite late, but I tell you, his current album from 2015 is quite a blast. It is the rare joy of experiencing such a nice piece of art that makes your soul explode in thousands of coloured hearts, an experience you only have like 3 times in your life. Back to the Grietfest. Soon we catched the dnb and dupstep fever and had a rad party. The act of the night was definitely PHFAT (If he can’t dance), one more reason why I would call the south african music scene more than internationally competitive.
